The first campaign we started was in 2000 with Overture. By the end of that year, Google Adwords came out and it was the start of digital marketing for Searchmoves. The days were much simpler then. With a straightforward search volume tool, you just searched for keywords with volume and added them to a campaign with ad copy. Bidding was non-existent and it was just a fixed cost. You got high-quality traffic at a low cost and it wasn't quite as complex and competitive as it is today.
